Reputation Management and How It Can Help Your Business
If you own any sort of business and sell products or services, it‘s highly likely that you will, or maybe already have, bumped into a disgruntled ex-employee or customer / client who you just couldn‘t make happy no matter how hard you tried. There‘s just no pleasing everybody – that‘s the reality of business, unfortunately.
The reputation of your business is so important because even one bad review, whether it‘s true or false, online or offline, can have a negative impact on your business and sales moving forward. This is obviously something you‘d like to avoid, right?
Luckily, for online businesses, there is a solution known as Reputation Management.
Reputation Management
Reputation Management is the act of removing or pushing back negative reviews or articles about your business in the search engines so that they‘re no longer visible to those searching for your business name or reviews about your business.
This is done by creating business branded properties on platforms which already have a high authority and will therefore give us the best chance of moving to the first page, and eventually pushing the negative stuff to page 2 or further. This will sometimes involve building backlinks to the properties in question depending on the authority of the site that is hosting the negative review or article. It‘s usually fairly manageable, though.
Once this has been accomplished, the negative reviews or articles about your business will disappear deep into Google‘s index – a place most searchers will never explore as they usually find what they‘re looking for on the first page.
At Epic New Media, this is something we can do but don‘t (yet) have listed on our service pages for whatever reason, but it‘s always an option if required.
